SPROUTS 2010 is searching nationwide for fresh, new choreographic talent to showcase their originality and creativity. This exciting event, organized by the National Arts Council together with Frontier Danceland, will take place from 7 August 2010 to 18 September 2010.
Dance enthusiasts will perform before a live audience and a jury made up with the heavy weights of the performing arts world during the pre-selection process, a Preliminary Round and the Final Showcase.
The judges are Janek Schergen (Artistic Director of the Singapore Dance Theatre), Goh Lay Kuan (Co-founder of PPAS), Norhayati Yusoff and Hannah Tan.
The highly-anticipated finale is a ticketed event that will be held at the University Cultural Centre Theatre.

The winner of SPROUTS 2010 will take home $2000, a chance to perform at SPROUTS 2011 along with the much coveted prize – An Arts Professional Development Grant of up to $3000.
Other prizes include $1000 and $500 for Most Popular Work and Best Dancer respectively.
